Hanen It takes two to talk

As a trained facilitator of the  Hanen - It takes two to talk parents group programme, we are taking expressions of interest in face-to-face, or telehealth based delivery of the Hanen ITTT programme.

Hanen's It takes two to talk group programme is based around parent training to improve speech and language capacity and outcomes for young children (normally birth to 5 years). It is a progamme that has been running for decades, all over the world, and hads a large body of evidence showing that it works!

The Hanen "It Takes Two to Talk" program is a parent-focused early language intervention designed to help parents support their young children with language delays. Through practical strategies and hands-on activities, parents learn to encourage their child's communication skills during everyday interactions, fostering improved speech and language development.

We are looking to start running Hanen Groups from August 2024 on roughly 3-monthly cycles either via face-to-face delivery or telehealth depending on client preferences. Each group involves both group sessions (online or in a community site) and individual sessions with families in their homes, consists of a pre-programme consultation, 8x2.5 hour sessions, and 3 individuals visit's with vide recordings and feedback. Costs of the programme are split between parents with a maximum of 8 families, and can utilise NDIS funding (And is a really economical use of funds).

Hanen's It Takes Two to Talk program includes:

• A 1-hour pre-program consultation with travel.

• 12 hours of group therapy.

• 3 hours of individual consultation and video feedback with travel.

• 1 hours for administrative tasks including coordinating with you and writing reports.

Pricing is approximately $3,152.30, but may vary with travel and group size (pricing is capped at $3500).
